Spontaneity! The purchasing of items you really, really don't need.

Yep! Going to need to admit it, but I'm a sucker for many a nerdy/geeky item. After all, a fez, a Tardis! what more can you possibly desire? (Okay, I'ld also want an inflatable steerable version of the Spaceship Yamato, but thankfully I haven't seen this available (yet).

Kaboom! Or what to do with these lemons.

Image 1 through 3 from "The Disco Ball has Exploded" series. Still jamming with Instagram!

Something a little red

Kicking it with Instagram and my iToy.

Waiting...

Sometime between now and midnight I might be photographing models...

Hello, VISA will you kindly raise my limit? {click, dialtone}

Coming to me via PetaPixel (http://www.petalpixel.com) is one of my dream lenses the Nikon 6mm f/2.8 lens. This is a dream lens of mine especially after I picked up a D700 a few years back. The crop sensor D1X, D2X, D300s are nice cameras; but I feel that I've lost some of my depth-of-field control with those bodies. When I started to use the D700 I've had a better appreciation of the depth-of-field from when I was shooting film.

Follow this link for the article from PetalPixel for the Nikon 6mm f/2.8 lens available for bid: http://www.petapixel.com/2012/04/24/ridiculous-nikon-6mm-lens-reappears-priced-at-160000-in-the-uk/

Nooooooooooo!

Thankfully the memories of my childhood are not as easily re-written as the scenes from my favorite film franchise:

The correct shoes for the job!

While I will admit that I looked pretty snazzy in my Florsheim Curtis Men's Oxford shoes; they were quite unsuited for shooting an event that involved quite a bit of movement. Ten hours later my feet were killing me! Besides the slippery/smooth slope that I had the pleasure of navigating on while carrying roughly 20lbs of camera gear. The ultra-thin socks I decided to wear helped add to the nasty blister that formed on the back of the ankle.

Ah the perils of concert photography! Next time I will remember to drop a pair of Wolverine Durashocks Opanka Oxford into the car for when I plan to hop from a grip&grin assignment to a mosh pit.

Lesson learned!
